Members

The operation of Boynton Angels is overseen by Boynton Angels LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company formed to facilitate the process for the members of Boynton Angels to evaluate and make investments. Boynton Angels LLC is not an investment adviser or licensed-broker dealer, and all investment decisions are ultimately made by the individual member. Boynton Angels has several committees, including an Executive Board, a Screening Committee and Membership Committee. We encourage members to volunteer to serve on any of these committees.

• The Executive Committee performs general operations and administration, and policy development between the monthly membership meetings.


• The Screening Committee consists of a number of members who meet monthly to review business plans and summaries that have been received from prospective companies as well as other Angel groups and individual investors. Companies that proceed through this vetting and review process are invited to present to the membership.


• The Membership Committee is responsible for finding new members and outreach to the community (including sponsorships, as appropriate, of local entrepreneurial events.)

Members are assessed a nominal dues amount each year. This money is used to help pay for the group's operations, including screening and deal meetings, membership outreach, support of regional entrepreneurship contests, legal fees, administration and dues to other organizations.
